Pure, Simple, Exhausted

Today I am no longer ill, just purely exhausted. And yet I find myself writing; like shopping, eating, and watching cheesy television, it has been added to must list of obsessions. So firstly I would like to thank anyone who reads this; and then continue to say I think I'm going to do it, maybe sooner rather than later....that is set up BLOOMFIELD LTD. Crazy yes, necessary, YES!

I know I say a lot of things, but this evening I felt that roar in my belly, a hunger for it, that is my own collection. It is no-longer a fantasy at the end of a long line of University lectures, it is now or never. Next step strategy.

Here maybe the bit where concerned on-lookers give solid, grounding words of advice. (Comments below)

Themes: Functionalism, Form, Honestly, Refinement.
Kenneth Grange is my new hero of design. Past heroes have been Thomas Heatherwick, Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster, Wassily Kandinsky, and Frida Kahlo to name a few. But now it is Kenneth as he designs products for a purpose and to solve problems which I would like to do.

A lot to wrap into a concept range, but hey that's me, take me or leave me.

This is an image I love from my final year of uni. Enjoy!

Tmagazine- New York Times, Gant collegiate, this isn't new? Confused.com

Gant
I love this building, the illustration and to be honest GANT.
Not one of the most popular collegiate brands out there, however they have stuck to their roots with great integrity and produce a quality product. I do admit to not owning a GANT item, however I almost bought a great tweed jacket last year, however the FRED PERRY classic black polo shirt dress was on sale next door and that won. But that's just me, an eclectic dresser.I do have to say, the jacket in question was ahead of trend being a grey tweed cropped suit jacket with suede patched elbows. What's happening this season, elbow patches everywhere, and lots of drops to drink (ref. rain rain everywhere but not a drop to drink!)

Y-3 NEW BEIJING STORE - Sports lux?

I have just seen the latest images of the new Y-3 store in Beijing, looks super sleek in proper Y-3 style.
The black fixtures almost look like wet tar, very sensual just like the designs of Mr Yamamoto and his designers.

I remember a friend who was a designer on his team retelling me a story of when she was showing him her new prototypes of her shoes, he asked her what sort of sound they make, she replied "clip, clop, like horses", he giggled. These little snippets remind you that there are real people behind the pieces.
I hope you enjoy the new store!x
I like the playfulness of the graphic on the tote bag.
