So after reading the BBC article, basically saying it is "grinding to a halt" I feel disappointed with the world, and progress. We seem to be very able to progress in Environment, Technology and Marketing, but when it comes down to human rights, and in particular equality we are almost as advanced as Neanderthals!

As a women in the fashion industry I am quite tempted to be my own boss as this may be the only way to get fair pay for the work I do, i.e. if I work hard I can afford to give myself a wage, and if I don't I won't. Simple as that, so why isn't the working world that simple?
